Paul Asbury Seaman The most exciting debut album I’ve heard in a long time, Morrowtide brings to mind the classic sound of ECM Records, or perhaps more the early, legendary new age label on this side of the Atlantic, Windham Hill. Blending electronic keyboards with acoustic guitar too often turns a perfectly skilled performance into mush. Not so here! The keys are kept subtle, adding just the right hints of tone and color to emotionally rich pieces that need no enhancement. Favorite track: Afterthought.
